Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Fledgebook (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. License to Use the App

Beacon Light Investments grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Fledgebook on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to the App Store's or Google Play's applicable usage rules.

3. Your Content

Everything you enter into Fledgebook — child profiles, IEP/504 documentation, goals, observations, services, deadlines, accommodations, communications, questions, routines, and photos — is yours. It's stored locally on your device and, if you enable Cross-Device Backup, copied to your own iCloud Drive or Google Drive. We do not access, host, or claim any ownership over your content. 4. Free Tier and Fledgebook Pro

Fledgebook is free to download and use. The free tier includes one child profile, full IEP/504 documentation, two visual routines, and the starter sticker pack. Fledgebook Pro is an optional upgrade that adds support for additional children, unlimited document exports, unlimited routines, every sticker pack, and Cross-Device Backup. A lapsed or absent Fledgebook Pro entitlement never restricts your ability to read, edit, or delete data you've already entered — it only limits how much new content you can add and which Pro-only features are available.

5. Subscriptions and Purchases

Fledgebook Pro is offered in three forms, all processed entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play:

• Monthly subscription — an auto-renewing subscription that bills on a recurring monthly basis until cancelled.
• Yearly subscription — an auto-renewing subscription that bills on a recurring annual basis until cancelled.
• Lifetime purchase — a single, one-time, non-consumable purchase that unlocks Fledgebook Pro permanently and does not renew or recur.

Subscription payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew for the same term unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the then-current price. You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your device's App Store or Google Play account settings — Fledgebook itself has no ability to process, modify, or cancel a subscription directly, since it has no account system or billing relationship with you. Restore Purchases (available in Settings) re-applies an existing entitlement to a new device or after a reinstall.

All purchases are governed by the refund policies of the App Store or Google Play, as applicable. Beacon Light Investments does not process payments or issue refunds directly.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App except as permitted by law, and not to use the App for any unlawful purpose.

7. Not Legal, Medical, or Educational Advice

Fledgebook is an organizational tool. It performs arithmetic on the numbers and dates you enter — projected mastery dates, service-minute compliance gaps, and deadline timelines — and helps you prepare for a meeting. It does not provide legal, medical, or educational advice, does not diagnose or treat any condition, and its calculations are only as accurate as the information you enter. Fledgebook never contacts your child's school, service providers, or any third party on your behalf; every communication, meeting, and decision remains yours to make. Consult a qualified professional or advocate for guidance specific to your child's situation.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Beacon Light Investments shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App — including any loss of data stored on your device or any outcome of an IEP/504 meeting, service, or educational decision made using information organized in the App.

10. Changes to the App or These Terms

We may update the App or these Terms from time to time. If these Terms change materially, the "Effective date" above will be updated. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. Data already stored locally on your device or in your own iCloud Drive or Google Drive remains yours; use "Delete All My Data" in Settings to remove it.
